The children’s worship service wrecked me today.
It is amazing how God uses the most unsuspecting moments to speak directly to your heart.
We have been praying about some situations in our lives for quite some time now.
We know we are called.
We know His timing is perfect.
The waiting….well it is not fun. It seems like things are never going to come to fruition. So much so that it makes you search for God’s presence.
I have been praying and seeking wondering if we really are in God’s plan.
Searching to see if there is something within me that needs to change.
Searching to see if we need to go a different direction.
Praying and asking God to reveal his plan because I am getting weary.
Doubts are rolling in like waves.
I am tempted to do things on my own to turn circumstances in our favor more quickly.
But then…
I go to lead Children’s Worship this morning.
We were talking about how Joseph had to trust God even when he couldn’t see His plan.
As I spoke the words, “Sometimes we just have to trust God even when we can’t see it or don’t understand.” It is as if the Lord whispered in my ear, “this message is for you too.”
Trying to keep my upbeat kid’s worship composure, I fought back tears. I wasn’t expecting Him to speak to me in that moment.
It shook me and it showed me a little bit more about who He is. He loves us so much he can use a simple children’s message to speak to our hearts.
I hear you Lord. I’ll keep trusting. I’ll keep persevering.
As Charles Stanley says, I know Your will is “good, acceptable, and perfect.”
I’ll be still
I’ll wait
I’ll trust
EVEN when I can’t SEE what lies ahead!
